Family Entertainment for All Occasions

Mary Ellen Clark is a multi-talented performer. She performs as a clown, puppeteer, magician and other characters that fit into a special party theme and uses different costumes.  Mary Ellen and her husband Gerald are known as The Clark Family Players. Mary Ellen is the performer and Gerald is the technician and producer. Mary Ellen uses magic, puppetry, storytelling, music, balloon theater, as well as balloon twisting to create a variety show with lots of audience participation. The audience is  part of the stories using puppets or balloon props.  The whole audience may be called upon to produce sound effects or recite part of the script in a story.  There may be game challenges as well. Custom shows are designed around a theme. Mary Ellen has performed often at local schools such as First Impressions in Southfield MI and Summer Impressions in Bloomfield Hills MI.  She has also been a music teacher.  She is best remembered for her ability to keep the kids attention and a her quality performances.  She is the President of  the Detroit Puppeteers Guild and is involved in programs at the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Children's Museum.  She has performed at many public schools in the metro Detroit area.  She did Mother Goose and storytelling for the Northville MI Victorian Festival for over 10 years.
